March 31, 2025.<\/b> The mayor of Jerez, Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Garc\u00eda-Pelayo, has announced the winners selected by the jury of the VII Motor Awards Ciudad de Jerez 2024, which went to rider Jorge Mart\u00edn Almoguera, rider Ana Carrasco Gabarr\u00f3n, the Real Autom\u00f3vil Club Jerez, and entrepreneur Jaime Alguersuari Tortajada.<\/p>\n
The 2024 MotoGP World Champion, Jorge Mart\u00edn Almoguera, receives the award for sports, cultural, or business achievements related to the world of motorsport over the past year. Ana Carrasco Gabarr\u00f3n, the 2018 World Superbike SSP300 Champion and the 2024 Women's Motorcycle World Champion, has received the award for her career related to the world of motorsport. The Real Autom\u00f3vil Club de Jerez will receive the award for individual or collective contributions to the motorsport world of the city and\/or its contribution to the prestige of the Jerez-\u00c1ngel Nieto Circuit. Jaime Alguersuari Tortajada has been nominated for the honorary award, which recognizes individuals, groups, or companies that have stood out in promoting and projecting local, national, and international activities related to the motorsport world. <\/p>\n
The Mayor of Jerez, on behalf of the jury, has informed the awardees of their selection as laureates of the VI Motor Awards Ciudad de Jerez. The awards are scheduled to be presented on Thursday, April 24, the day before the start of the three-day MotoGP Spanish Grand Prix (April 25, 26, and 27).<\/p>\n
In an initial evaluation, the Mayor has congratulated the jury for selecting these awardees, as all of them have a direct connection with the Jerez-\u00c1ngel Nieto Circuit and our city. In particular, Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Garc\u00eda-Pelayo expressed her satisfaction with the award given to the Real Autom\u00f3vil Club Jerez for its history and years of involvement in promoting motorsport in Jerez and the province of C\u00e1diz.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, both the mayor and the jury have acknowledged the achievements of the award-winning riders: Jorge Mart\u00edn Almoguera and Ana Carrasco Gabarr\u00f3n. The mayor wished MotoGP rider Jorge Mart\u00edn Almoguera a speedy recovery following the recent fracture of his left hand. The mayor also highlighted the accomplishments of rider Ana Carrasco Gabarr\u00f3n, a competitor who began her career by racing for the title in a field mostly made up of male riders.<\/p>\n
Regarding Jaime Alguersuari Tortajada, the jury has recognized his long career as a motorsport athlete, as well as his editorial projects in the communication and promotion of motorsport events.<\/p>\n
The Motor Awards Ciudad de Jerez cover four categories: sports, cultural, or business achievements related to the world of motorsport over the past year; the career of individuals or entities associated with motorsport; individual or collective contributions to the motorsport world of the city and\/or the contribution to the prestige of the Jerez-\u00c1ngel Nieto Circuit; and finally, another category recognizes, in an honorary manner, those individuals, groups, or companies that have stood out in the local, national, and international promotion and projection of various activities related to the world of motorsport.<\/p>\n
