The contest offers significant prizes for the winning projectsMarch 11, 2025As part of the scheduled activities to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto, included in the program presented to the press on February 18, the circuit is launching the ‘1st Mural Painting Contest’ with the aim of transforming two concrete walls within the facility into artistic expression spaces.
The main objectives of this contest are to promote participation, creativity, and artistic dissemination, offering urban artists specializing in mural painting the opportunity to showcase their work in a highly significant setting within the motorsports world. Given the media exposure of the Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto, this initiative ensures notable visibility for the selected artworks. Another goal is to enhance and beautify specific areas of the circuit, adding artistic value and turning them into points of interest for visitors and motorsport fans.
The contest is open to individuals or groups over 18 years old of any nationality. Participants must choose between two available options: - Option A refers to an exterior wall located along the auxiliary road near Turn 2, with a total surface area of 211.15 square meters. -Option B features an interior wall in the passageway leading to the main grandstand, with a total surface area of 50.75 square meters.
The contest theme will focus on the Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto and motorsport competitions over the past 40 years.
The 1st Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto Mural Painting Contest offers a cash prize of €3,000 for the winning project in Option A and €1,800 for Option B, with applicable taxes deducted from both amounts. A specialized jury appointed by the organizers will evaluate the submitted proposals and issue a final, non-appealable decision. If none of the submissions meet the required artistic quality, the jury reserves the right to declare the contest void. The results will be published on the official Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto website, and winners will be notified via email.
