April 23, 2025. The Estrella Galicia 0'0 Spanish Grand Prix will undoubtedly be a very special race, full of novelties to match the 40th anniversary of the Jerez-Ángel Nieto Circuit in 2025.
In this 40th edition of the MotoGP in Jerez, the new features that will debut are the following:
\*New run-off areas in the corners
The World Championship riders in the three categories that make up the thrilling MotoGP World Championship—MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3—will debut the new run-off areas at corners 2, 6, 10, and 13 during the 2025 Estrella Galicia 0'0 Spanish Grand Prix. These new run-offs are added to the work completed in recent years at corners 1, 5, and 7.
The setback of these corners, increasing their gravel areas, represents the safety improvements that MotoGP riders will benefit from during this Grand Prix. This investment in safety is part of the ongoing efforts by the Circuito de Jerez in recent years, aligning with international federative standards required to maintain the Grade A homologation that allows the track to continue hosting MotoGP World Championship events.
The extension in meters for the corners debuting in the Grand Prix are as follows: Corner 2 (36 meters), Corner 6 (40 meters), Corner 10 (20 meters), and Corner 13 (33 meters).
\*Update of the VIP Tower.
Another of the novelties to be introduced at the Grand Prix is the update of the VIP Tower, one of the iconic landmarks of the Jerez-Ángel Nieto Circuit, which had been unused for years.
The VIP Tower has been completely remodeled while maintaining its iconic aesthetic, which is widely recognized around the world. Its function will remain the same as when it was active, meaning it will house VIP and hospitality spaces.
It has a capacity for 250 people, distributed across the ground floor terrace, the intermediate terrace, and four panoramic 360º floors, from which the entire circuit can be viewed, offering unbeatable views.
\*New grandstands
One of the strong commitments in recent years has been the investment in improvements for the public, specifically regarding the grandstands.
The old grandstands, built 40 years ago at various corners of the circuit, have been replaced at the same locations with new, higher, more comfortable, and accessible portable grandstands that offer spectators unparalleled visibility. These new grandstands have been elevated in height, making them prime spots on the circuit to follow the thrilling races that MotoGP will offer.
The names of the grandstands have also changed. The former J4-M6 and T8 sections are now modern and functional panoramic grandstands named C3, C4, and C5. Similarly, the old X0, X2, and X3 grandstands have been replaced by the new W4, W6, and W7 grandstands, which have been elevated in height and improved in comfort, located in the same previous spots. As a result, the visibility from these privileged points on the circuit is spectacular.
*New Parking Area*
The Circuito de Jerez–Ángel Nieto is launching a new official mobility system for the Gran Premio Estrella Galicia 0.0 de España, in collaboration with BusForFun, the European platform specializing in shared transport for large-scale events.
It is a response to the significant increase in ticket sales for this year's Grand Prix in Jerez. A record attendance is expected, which requires a step-up in the organization and management of mobility. For the first time, the organizers are introducing a comprehensive solution to regulate, facilitate, and reduce the environmental impact of the attendees' arrival at the venue. This solution will significantly enhance the experience for the fans.
This involves the creation of a planned and monitored parking network with 6,500 spaces distributed across strategic areas close to the main access gates. Parking tickets can be purchased online, and buyers will receive a personalized tracking system that will guide them along the best route to the circuit, including real-time recommendations on potential detours or alternatives due to heavy traffic, ensuring a smooth arrival experience.
The paid parking, named Parking B, adds to the existing outdoor parking areas available at the Jerez Circuit for the Grand Prix. These include the motorcycle parking, named Parking A, which is free of charge, and Parking C for cars, located on the Jerez-Arcos highway at exit 7, which is also free.
*New main entrance arch at the circuit*
From this Grand Prix onwards, the public entering the circuit's facilities through the main gate will notice a significant change in its appearance. One of the new features introduced at the Jerez Circuit for the Spanish Grand Prix is the renovation of its main entrance, now highlighted by an 8-meter-high and 16-meter-wide arch, with a 2 x 10 meter LED screen that will provide information throughout the event.
*Walls decorated by artists from the 1st Mural Painting Contest 40th Anniversary winners*
Another new feature that the public will be able to enjoy during the Spanish Grand Prix, which will remain permanently at the venue, are the mural paintings created by the winners of the 1st Mural Painting Contest. These murals have been placed in two specific locations around the circuit: one along the auxiliary road of turn 2, a new wall with great visibility for both spectators and television coverage, and the second along the access road to the finish line grandstand.
As part of the celebrations for the 40th Anniversary of the Jerez ‘Ángel Nieto’ Circuit, a milestone commemorated throughout 2025, the Jerez Circuit organized the first-ever Mural Painting Contest with the aim of transforming two concrete walls into spaces for artistic expression. The main objectives of this contest were:To encourage participation, creation, and the promotion of art, providing urban artists specializing in mural painting the opportunity to display their work in a highly significant setting within the world of motorsport. To offer a space for expression to creators and young artists, allowing them to develop their art in an iconic location of the city, thus promoting the integration of urban art in an innovative and distinctive context.To enhance and beautify specific areas of the Circuit, giving them added artistic value and turning them into points of interest for visitors and motorsport enthusiasts.
\*40 Years of the Jerez Circuit in 40 Photos – Photographic Exhibition
Also, as part of the 40th anniversary of the Jerez Ángel Nieto Circuit and during the Grand Prix week, the Santo Domingo Cloisters in Jerez will host the photographic exhibition *40 Years of the Circuit in 40 Photos* until May 10th. This adds another highlight to a week full of strong emotions. A selection of 40 unique photos that summarize 40 years of competitions, passion, battles, and historic victories for the best fans in the world at their Cathedral.
This exhibition has been created with the collaboration of prestigious MotoGP photographers, as well as companies from the motor world through their photographic archives, resulting in a comprehensive and unforgettable historical summary that deserves to be admired. The exhibition will officially open tomorrow, Thursday the 24th, at 5 p.m., after the originally scheduled opening date on the 21st was canceled due to the death of Pope Francis and the three days of mourning declared by the Government.
*New VIP platform: Premium Lounge"
Also new is the addition of a new VIP platform called Premium Lounge, which is added to the existing offering, providing a unique experience for fans and companies looking to enjoy the Grand Prix in a different way."
