FIM JuniorGP lands at the Circuito de Jerez - Ángel Nieto next weekend

Jerez, 27 May 2025. The roar of the engines will be felt once again at the Ángel Nieto Jerez Circuit this coming weekend, with the celebration of a new round of the FIM JuniorGP, the motorcycling championship that represents the prelude to the World Championship and a key platform for the discovery of future MotoGP stars.

From 31 May to 1 June, the young promises of national and international motorcycling will compete on a highly technical and emotionally demanding track with the memories of the World Championship still fresh in a race where the future stars of the MotoGP firmament will give their all with races that promise intensity, speed and excitement in abundance.

Classes involved are:
*JuniorGP
European Talent Cup (ETC)
Moto 2 European Championship
Stock European Championship

So far, only one round has been held, the opening round of the 2025 championship at the Estoril circuit in Portugal at the beginning of May. Brian Uriarte in the JuniorGP, Unai Orradre in the Moto2 European Championship, Alex Longarela in the European Talent Cup and Iker Garcia, who leads the overall standings in the Stock European Championship.

Free entrance for fans

The Circuito de Jerez Ángel Nieto will open its doors to the public free of charge throughout the weekend, allowing fans to enjoy practice, qualifying and exciting races in a familiar and accessible atmosphere. In addition, there will be complementary activities such as the Pit Lane Walk on Sunday at 10am and access to the paddock on Saturday and Sunday to bring the championship even closer to the fans. The event will bring together teams and riders from all over the world, offering a unique opportunity for fans to get an up-close look at the future stars of motorcycling, many of whom will be competing in the World Championship in just a few seasons' time.

Timetables

Thurday 29 and Friday 30 may, free practice
- Saturday 31 May: free practice and timed practice sessions from 9am until 4.20pm when qualifying concludes.
- Sunday 1st June: Races with the following programme; 11.00 h (JuniorGP-race1) 12.00 h (ETC-race1) 13.00 h (Moto2) 14.00 h (JuniorGP-race2) 15.00 h (ETC-race2) 16.00 h (Stock Ech).
