And even more events and surprises will follow, leading up to the grand final gala in November to celebrate the 40th anniversary.

Roaring since 1985.

With its construction in 1985, the Circuito de Jerez became a key stage for the development and professionalization of motorsport in Spain from the very beginning, taking the sport to unprecedented heights. It also became a powerful driver of transformation for this Andalusian city and its surrounding area. In 1986, Jerez brought Formula 1 back to Spain after a four-year absence, and in 1987, it hosted its first Spanish Motorcycle Grand Prix. Now, on the verge of its 40th anniversary, the circuit has hosted 39 Motorcycle Grand Prix events, 7 Formula 1 races, 11 Superbike World Championship rounds, 1 Intercontinental FIM Games, 5 Formula 3000 races, 1 FIA Formula 2 event, 4 World Sports Prototype Championship races, 2 Motocross World Championships, and one Motocross of Nations, in addition to numerous national and international events. In total, throughout its history, 390 competitions have taken place, with 238 motorcycle events and 153 automobile events.

This photographic exhibition "40 Years of the Circuito de Jerez in 40 Photos," which showcases a carefully curated selection of these 390 competitions (from 1985 to 2025), is another event scheduled for the 40th Anniversary of the Andalusian circuit. Special thanks go to Diario de Jerez, Gold&Goose, Motociclismo Magazine, and Canon España for their valuable contributions. At the Cloisters of Santo Domingo in Jerez, from April 21 to May 10, their works await the best fans in the world.
