The 40th anniversary of the Circuito de Jerez Ángel Nieto will reach 5.5 million people across Spain through the ONCE lottery coupon on Sunday, April 27.

The mayor notes that the coupon has become one of the best showcases any project can have, no matter where it takes place in the country.

April 21, 2025. The lottery ticket from the National Organization for the Blind (ONCE) for the draw on Sunday, April 27, 2025, will be dedicated to the 40th Anniversary of the Circuito de Jerez - Ángel Nieto, coinciding with the celebration of the Spanish MotoGP Grand Prix. The mayor of Jerez, María José García-Pelayo, accompanied by members of the municipal government and the director of the Jerez circuit, Cayetano Gómez, as well as the deputy general director of ONCE's Gaming Division, Patricio Cárceles, presented this ticket on Monday. This is the fifteenth ticket dedicated to Jerez, its culture, institutions, brotherhoods, as well as to its events, illustrious citizens, and anniversaries.

The mayor emphasized that the ONCE lottery ticket, which reaches 5.5 million people, "has become one of the best showcases any project, institution, or social commitment can have, no matter where it takes place in Spain."

She recalled that on March 6, the ONCE lottery ticket was dedicated to Asta Regia and pointed out that on this occasion, with the presentation of the ticket dedicated to the 40th Anniversary of the Circuito, "Jerez is placed on the starting grid for the upcoming weekend, going in less than 24 hours from the scent of incense that characterizes Holy Week to the smell of jet fuel. This shows how fast and modern our city is in adapting to needs and times, because Jerez is a vibrant and ambitious city, ready to do whatever it takes to be attractive both from a tourism perspective and in terms of job creation." In this regard, the mayor reminded that "more than 3,000 jobs have been created in the past year, and events like the Grand Prix play a decisive role in reducing our unemployment numbers day by day."

The mayor thanked ONCE for dedicating the lottery ticket on April 27 to the 40th Anniversary of the Circuito de Jerez Ángel Nieto. "This helps to elevate our Circuit and the events organized to celebrate this milestone." She also expressed her gratitude to the organizing committee for the activities scheduled for this anniversary, which will include a photographic exhibition, a motorcycle exhibition, as well as concerts, among others.

She also highlighted the social work carried out by ONCE and emphasized that "you can count on Jerez as an allied city." She referred to the work of the Social Inclusion Delegation, led by Yessika Quintero, which "works to make the city more equitable and ensure that no one is left behind."

For his part, the Deputy General Director of ONCE’s Gaming Division emphasized that with the ticket for April 27, "we want to bring the pride of Jerez and its global sports leadership to every corner of our country during the grand week of its motorcycle championship, through the greatest social transformation tool in Spain, thanks to the affection and trust that Andalusians and all Spaniards place daily in our social, safe, and responsible lottery products."

This presentation was attended by the director of ONCE in the province of Cádiz, Alberto Ríos, the director of ONCE in Jerez, Cristino Ortuno, and the vice president of the Territorial Council of ONCE in Andalusia, Ceuta, and Melilla, Milagros Rodríguez, as well as representatives from the Local Motor Council.
