Meanwhile, the second option outlined in the contest rules, known as option ‘B,’ involved a surface of 50.75 m² on a wall in the access area to the grandstand at the finish line, where the winning proposal came from the Madrid-based artist Juan Carlos González González.
Option ‘A,’ awarded with €3,000, has been won by the Jerez artist Francisco Castro for his project *‘Trazos de historia’* (Traces of History), which commemorates the 40 years of the Circuito de Jerez by representing its evolution through pilots, vehicles, and iconic moments. His dynamic and immersive design is divided into three stages: the beginning, evolution, and present, using the lines of the track and representative colors for a smooth transition. It is a visual tribute to the history and legacy of motorsports in Jerez.
For its part, option ‘B,’ awarded with €1,800, has been won by Juan Carlos González González with his sketch *‘Unidos por el motor’* (United by Motors), which represents a vibrant tribute to the Circuito de Jerez, an iconic place that has witnessed the evolution of motorsports over time, according to the words of the artist himself. In his mural, he captures the essence of competition by bringing together legendary figures from the sport, representing different eras, disciplines, and vehicles.
The winners were selected from the twelve proposals submitted during the open registration process from March 14 to 28. Nine of these opted for option B, while the remaining three chose option A.
The evaluation criteria for the works, among others, included originality, artistic quality, and creativity in the interpretation of the proposed theme.
